
Meet the people shaping Elcogen's vision, innovation and impact
Chris is an experienced Chairman in the environment, energy and transport sectors, as well as medical imaging AI and bio-pharma. His current positions include Chair of NC Tech and Non-executive Director of SENSEWind, and previously, amongst others, Chair of Blackford Analysis, Celtic Renewables, and Gasrec, and Senior Independent Director of HutchMed. Over the past decades he has been an active investor in and advisor to early-stage companies deploying new, disruptive technology.
Carolyn has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of finance, audit, risk and control. She has established a leading boutique consultancy practice, Brave Within LLP, providing specialist risk and governance services to rapidly scaling regulated companies. In addition, she is the Audit and Risk Chair for a circular recycling player, Agilyx AS, an ambassador for WB Directors focusing on large and listed companies, and Vice-President of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors. Carolyn was previously the Head of Audit, Risk and Control and a member of the senior leadership team at Centrica plc. Prior to that she was a partner at PwC where she established the firm’s offices in Mongolia.
S.J has extensive experience obtained through leadership roles at Hyosung Group and its subsidiaries between 2010 and 2018. These included Head of Global Strategy, Chief Strategy Officer and VP President of Global Safety Textiles, Mexico. From 2018 to 2021 he was EVP, Head of RF Business at Gigalane Inc before joining HD Hyundai in 2021, becoming an Executive Vice President in 2024.
Raimondo joined Baker Hughes in 2019 as Head of Strategy. With a total of 30+ years of global experience in energy and industrial sectors as VP/General Manager/MD, he is currently leading the scale-up of the hydrogen business within the Climatech Solution division of Baker Hughes.
Vesa has significant private sector experience in the technology industry. Specifically, he has over 25 years’ experience investing in early-stage companies and 15 years in the electrical engineering sector. Vesa is a partner in VNT Management. Current directorships include Merus Power Oyj, Norsepower Oy, and Power Fund III GP Oy.
Andreas started his banking career in 1996 as a Customer Relationship Manager, with roles at the Bank of Tallinn, Merita Bank and Nordea Bank. Subsequently, he held leadership roles at Nordic Investment Bank in Helsinki, Nordea Bank and as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Graanul Invest. From 2014-2021 he was CEO and Chairman of Alexela Group. Since 2022 he has been Managing Director of Biofuel Family Office.
Stefano has over 20 years of industrial experience in energy, infrastructure and engineering. Whilst Vice President at Northvolt, Stefano played a key role in delivering the first European homegrown lithium-ion gigafactory. Prior to Northvolt, Stefano held several executive and general management positions focusing on the operation and delivery of large international contracts in the EMEA region.
Enn has over 30 years of experience starting up companies and founded Elcogen in 2001. His experience in the energy services and equipment, construction, real estate and banking industries has included a number of listed company transactions. Enn was one of the initiators for founding the Estonian Power and Heat Association, an NGO uniting most of Estonia’s power and heat companies. Over the decades, he has held CEO and board positions of various companies within the HVAC, building control systems sales and service and real estate development sectors.
Jan brings over 15+ years of multidisciplinary expertise in hydrogen and electrochemical energy technologies, having led the development of advanced fuel cells and electrolysers. As COO and CPO at Stargate Hydrogen, he oversaw the creation of alkaline electrolyser stacks and systems. Previously, at Hexis AG, Jan directed technology and innovation efforts focused on high-temperature Solid Oxide fuel cell stacks and systems. He holds a PhD in Materials Science and Chemistry from Chalmers University of Technology.
Andrew, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, has worked closely with Elcogen Management and the Board throughout 2025, focused on Group trading forecasts, cash management and fundraise initiatives. With 35+ years of experience in business advisory and senior financial leadership, Andrew has a strong track record in guiding organisations through growth, investment and transformation, with strengths in operational efficiency, capital optimisation and long-term value creation.
Sara brings extensive legal and risk management experience to Elcogen. She joins us from Goodpack Group, where she held the position of Group General Counsel, SVP Enterprise Risk Management and ESG. Prior to that, she served as Senior Legal Counsel at Fondia, and as Director of Legal Affairs at Marioff. Sara holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a specialisation in Contract and Commercial Law from the University of Helsinki, as well as a Baccalaureate of Common Law and Licence in Civil Law from the University of Ottawa.
Hannu is an international business executive with 20+ years of experience in taking Finnish hi-tech startups to global markets. He has plentiful experience in creating a market for new technology and growing sales with both software and hardware products, and leading Go-To-Market and product strategy. Prior to joining Elcogen, Hannu launched an AI mobility Software Development Kit at MOPRIM, scaled MultiTaction’s interactive displays and software (incl. Barco OEM and Fortune-500 wins), and earlier drove key accounts at Sofia Digital.
Mikael has over 30 years in energy, chemicals & Waste-to-Energy with subsequent experience in technology sales, project management and senior Business Development roles. Prior to joining Elcogen Mikael was the Business Development Director at Babcock & Wilcox, leading the restructuring of the global sales organisation and integration between Denmark and American organisations. He also spent 12+ years at Topsoe, leading large-scale hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol projects on new as well as mature markets.
